TRAVEL & OUTFIT: LOOKOUT TOWER PRAGUE

For a whole day, M4R74 was repeating that the culmination point of our day had to be The Lookout Tower on Petrin. It was my umpteenth time in Prague, yet I have never heard of it before. Okay, most probably I just didn’t listen when others were mentioning it… Hm, let’s draw a veil over it.

The most important is to get at its top just before the sunset, M4R74 said. We agreed silently to her demands. We didn’t have any better plans, and, well, what could be better than reaching the sky?

When we got to the Petrin and I have seen the tower I thought it is not as massive as I expected. It looked like a toy made from toothpicks, inconspicuous. I climbed its stairs slowly and carefully, though, cos immensity of space around was both amusing and terrifying. I held the rail tightly in some irrational fear.

I have a feeling that this staircase gets tighter and tighter every step I take, I said and I looked behind. H4NK4 also got sucked up to the railing. It is like having both agoraphobia and claustrophobia at the same time, she replied.

When reaching the view point I straightened my back up and looked around. Oh M4R74, I thought smothered and amazed, I am so glad you had this idea. The cityscape drenched in colours of the setting sun looked just incredibly beautiful.

Stay awesome,
Anja
