Without any surprises, another year has begun.

The previous one, 2017, was a quick one and for me, it was rather regular. It wasn’t my most productive time, but I wasn’t overly lazy either. I had a lot of ups, but I also had a lot of downs. I traveled a lot, but in the meantime, I spent shitloads of time at home. So all in all, as I look at it now, 2017 was nothing super special, but also nothing to be embarrassed about.

Blogwise, 2017 has been also quite a roller coaster for me. I had thousands of ideas, felt some pressure from the public… Saying pressure from the public, I do not mean that there was any pressure, but that I felt like there was. And so, overwhelmed with some imaginary (or not) problems, I decided to take a short break from blogging.

The plan was to take a few weeks off. I had planned trip across India and Sri Lanka and I wanted to disconnect from Internet. Inspired by my flatmate, I started to use instastories and this media became a part of my life, but didn’t leave the online reality. Back to the point though, I stopped writing posts for this blog firstly planning to come back after few weeks. But out of the blue, straight from the trip, I got into limbo.

I had racing thoughts. I couldn’t figure out what I want from blogging. Is it my hobby? Is it a way to make a living? I believe in ideals of sustainable fashion, but the money comes mainly from the fast fashion industry. It was literally that one day I wrote that I support Fashion Revolution and another advertised brand suspected of using child slavery. Something felt wrong about it.

Inspired, reborn and (angels sing HERE), I decided to make a few changes in my lifestyle and they will also impact the content of this blog.

First of all, I want to consume less. I decluttered my closet, staying with a set of perfect pieces for me and I want to stop shopping (that much). As everybody has to shop sometimes, I will as well, so I wanna discover brands that care about the environment to support them (if you know any good, let me know). Additionally, I want to live producing zero waste, so I need to learn what products to buy. And all these topics are what is going to dominate content on my blog.

Additionally, I want to explore holistic lifestyle ideas, continue to do yoga (in Jan I follow THIS program with Adriane), learn about health and fitness and BTW, one of my new years resolutions is to cut all the beef and diary of my diet* and I encourage you to check THIS post to learn why. And I wanna travel more and more. All these will be supporting the main course of content.

I hope to see you all around. Thank you for stopping by and have a happy 2018!

It’s always great to set goals for this time of year! I agree it’s important to get your spending under control so you are free to use that money to explore other experiences! I always think it’s important to step away to recharge and come back with fresh ideas !
